Terracotta Lidded Pot

About this piece

Handmade by the women of a small village to support their families. The colouring comes from the pieces oxidising by being high fired under the ground. These pieces can be used on the hob, BBQ and in the oven. The heat can cause some of the traditional terracotta colour to return. Each piece is slightly unique in its own way, which only adds to their beauty.

Care

Proof before first use by filling 3/4 full and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees or gas mark 6. Wooden cooking utensils are recommended rather than metal ones. They can be cleaned with a sponge and washing up liquid or in a dishwasher. Make sure it's thoroughly dry before storing.
